This last weekend was great. I went to Chicago and went shopping, and O'My Gosh, I tried on my first pair of $800 dollar heels and it felt so great!!! There were 3 pair that caught my eye that I wanted and wished I had the money for. I so would have bought them. I know most people from around this area even the ones that have money wouldnt spend that much on heels, but without question if I did I would spend the money. I went to the Taste of Chicago also, it was great, a lot of good eats!!! I didnt try nothing out of the ordinary, but it all tasted so much better in Chicago, they know how to cook thier food!!!
I seen a lot of crazy stuff, like: a Tina Turner impersonator, that was singing on the side of the street downtown. She wasnt bad. I also seen this couple dressed up as silver people, that was neat. I also seen this other couple dressed as a devil and an angel. Theire were groups of guys puting on performances, they were good. All these people have something in common in Chicago, this is how they make their money. We visited a lego store while we were in a shoppin mall too, it was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
I went to a whole new environment for me while I was there. I traveled to the north side of Chicago, where there is a gay community. I have gay friends so it didnt bother me a bit, I've just never been around an actual community that had gay people fluently like that. It was neat, and everyone was so nice. My 4th of July was a blast, we went to my boyfriends brothers house for a bbq and drinks and got front row seats to see a firework display put on by the Fire Department up there, even though they are illegal. This weekend was so great and I really didnt want to come home, to be honest!!! Hope everyone else had a great 4th!!!
